1.5 million agriculture & rural households and 0.5 million MSMEs
Increasing access to affordable and reliable clean energy for communities and businesses in rural and semi- urban areas.
Reducing CO2 emissions by 2.8 million metric tons annually
Replacing equivalent amount of fossils based energy generation avoiding millions of tons of GHG emissions.
10 million direct & indirect economic beneficiaries in rural & semi-urban areas
Developing an ecosystem of community energy infrastructure for boosting economic activities and improving standard of living.
50% projects led by women and under-served sections of society
Following Principles of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in everything we do with special emphasis on welfare of women and other weaker sections of society.
More than 65% of India‘s population is dependent on agriculture for their livelihood, directly or indirectly. We are committed to developing clean energy infrastructure for this segment.
Backbone of Indian economy and society, the MSME sector has important role in India’s decarbonization journey and sustained inclusive economic growth.
Working closely with government agencies and local government bodies to ensure access to clean energy for everyone in the rural and semi-urban areas.
Collaborating with industry and financial institutions to scale up deployment of clean energy technology for Just and Inclusive Energy Transition.

Summary: The forms of God and the presence of its creatures are represented by birds, trees, and animals. This infinite sky, with all of its stars, serves as our collective roof. Nature - pure air, clean water provide therapy to our souls.
Deeply inspired by these lines of great Marathi Saint and Poet - Tukaram Maharaj, we believe mother nature is our most important stakeholder.
Most of the people in rural and semi-urban areas of India continue to work in primary sector and low value-added activities. This has led to massive socio-economic inequality as they didn’t benefit from decades of rapid economic growth. Uneven distribution of energy between rural and urban areas is largely responsible for this. A substantial part of renewable energy capacity is dedicated for big industries and urban population when agrarian and rural India continue to use fossil fuels and other highly polluting alternatives.
It’s not wrong to say that energy poverty persists in rural India leading to limited job opportunities, poor delivery of primary services and lower standard of living. Climate change is likely to worsen the situation further.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), giving access to clean energy results in serious health benefits, boost to local economic activity & entrepreneurship, and more effective delivery of education, medical and banking services.
A study by International Association for Energy Economics shows that regular supply of electricity in rural areas results in
- 6% & 7.5% increase in school enrollment among boys and girls respectively
- 17% increase in employment for women & 1.5% for men
- 35-40% increase in per capita income due to non-farm economic activity.
MSME sector is an important pillar of Indian economy. 64 million MSMEs contribute about 30% to India’s annual GDP, 36% of overall manufacturing output, more than 40% to overall exports and employ 110 million people. For India to become a USD 5 trillion economy, MSME sector will have to play an important role.
Industrial sector is responsible for 41% of total energy consumption in India and half of this demand is attributed to MSMEs. In general, MSMEs have been slow to make a transition to renewable energy. One reason for this is, 52% of them are located in rural areas where availability of clean energy infrastructure is poor.
For successful decarbonization of industrial sector in India, the MSMEs, which consume energy equivalent of about 50 million tons of oil annually, need to adopt clean technologies and actively reduce their carbon footprint.
Benefits of energy transition in the MSME Sector:
- Reduced dependence on fossils
- Improved competitiveness
- Accelerated decarbonization of industrial sector
- Huge impact on rural and semi-urban economy directly benefitting weaker sections of the society
- Ensure “Just & Inclusive” energy transition through capacity building, democratizing access to clean energy and sustainable finance.
